Whether it’s transforming old handrails into dragonflies or
turning leftover cement into leaf-shaped stepping stones – Vicki’s that outside-the-box
thinker who thrives when she’s got at least three projects on the move.
Likewise, when it comes to health and safety she’s happiest when she’s got a few pieces of the
pie – teaching, managing and customer service.
A certified Heart and Stroke and Red Cross First Aid
Instructor, Vicki tries to find the “sunny” in every situation. Hence, teaching
people how to help in scary scenarios is a long-time passion.
Watching that “I get it” spark light up in someone’s eye or
having them come back for re-cert not because they “have to” but because they
want to, keeps her doing what she’s good at.
Q AND A
They’d probably say: “Now what’s she up to?” I’ve always had
a way of seeing the world slightly off kilter. Then again, I’ve also been known
for coming up with a good idea here and there.
They also seem to like my strange and slightly twisted sense
of humor. I’m usually a good sounding board and once in a while I give good
advice.
What do you enjoy
during down time?
In no real order: crocheting, knitting, puttering around the
garden or making some weird and wonderful garden ornament. I also love visiting
my daughter and taking my dogs for scenic walks.
